Terms of service

About these terms

Last updated: 17 June 2026

These terms govern your use of alcanside.com and any purchase you make from us. By placing an order you agree to be bound by them.

The seller is Alcanside B.V., registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 91428483, VAT number NL865654694B01, at Energieweg 53A, 6541 CW Nijmegen, the Netherlands. You can reach us at contact@alcanside.com.

Orders and contract

When you place an order you make an offer to buy the products in your basket on these terms. A binding contract is formed only when we accept your order, which we do by sending you an order confirmation email. A simple acknowledgement that your order has been received is not, on its own, acceptance.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order, in whole or in part, for legitimate reasons. These include obvious pricing or description errors, products being out of stock, suspected fraud, or our inability to obtain authorisation for payment. If we cancel an order for which you have already paid, we will refund the affected amount in full.

Prices, taxes and currency

Prices are shown in euro (EUR) and, for consumers in the European Union, include any applicable VAT. For orders shipped outside the EU, prices may exclude local taxes, customs duties and import charges, which are the responsibility of the customer and may be collected by the carrier or local authorities on delivery.

We may change our prices at any time, but a change will never affect an order we have already confirmed. The price that applies to your order is the price shown at the time we accept it.

Payment

We accept a range of secure payment methods, including iDEAL, credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, Klarna, Shop Pay and Bancontact, among others. Payment is processed by trusted third-party providers, and we do not store your full card details on our own systems.

Payment is taken at checkout when you place your order. Where a method offers pay-later or instalment options, the terms of the relevant provider apply in addition to these terms.

Shipping and delivery

Shipping is free on orders over €80. Estimated delivery times are shown during checkout or in our Shipping & Returns policy. Delivery times are estimates and may vary depending on the destination, the carrier, customs processing, product availability and peak periods.

Risk of loss or damage to the products passes to you when you, or a third party designated by you (other than the carrier), take physical possession of the products.

Right of withdrawal (EU)

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you have a 14-day cooling-off period in which you may withdraw from your purchase without giving a reason. You can find out how this works, and start a withdrawal, on our Right of withdrawal page.

  • The 14-day period starts on the day after you, or a third party designated by you, receive the products.
  • After notifying us that you withdraw, you have a further 14 days to return the products.
  • If you withdraw from the entire order, we refund the full purchase price including the standard delivery cost of the original order. Any extra cost of a faster delivery method you chose is not refunded.
  • Return shipping costs are paid by the customer, unless we state otherwise.
  • You may handle and inspect the products as you would in a shop. We may reduce your refund to reflect any diminished value where you have handled the products more than necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.

Please note that personalised items, made to your specification, are exempt from the right of withdrawal. See the next section for what counts as personalised.

Returns, refunds and warranty

We offer a 30-day return window on eligible products, so you can exchange or return within 30 days of delivery, and a 2-year warranty against manufacturing and material defects. For the conditions, timelines and how to start a return, see our Refund & Returns policy and our Warranty page.

Our commercial warranty is in addition to, and does not replace, your statutory rights under applicable consumer law, including the legal guarantee of conformity.

Our warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear;
  • Damage caused by misuse or improper care;
  • Accidental damage;
  • Cosmetic changes caused by use;
  • Damage caused by improper cleaning;
  • Damage to the phone or device itself, or to any other property.

Personalised products

Products are only considered personalised where they are made or printed specifically according to information supplied by you, such as a name, number, initials or other custom text. A standard product in a colour or model you simply select from our range is not personalised and follows our normal returns and withdrawal rules.

Because personalised products are made to order to your specification, they cannot be cancelled or returned except where they are defective. Manufacturing and material defects remain fully covered under our warranty.

You are responsible for the correct spelling and accuracy of any name, number or other personalisation you supply. Please check your details carefully before ordering, as items printed to your specification cannot be corrected once production has begun.

Promotions and discounts

Promotional offers, discount codes and free gifts are subject to the conditions stated at the time of the offer. Unless stated otherwise, discounts cannot be combined. Offers may be changed or withdrawn at any time, and may have a limited duration.

If you return part of an order that qualified for a bundle discount or a free gift, we may adjust the refund to reflect the value of the discount or gift, or ask you to return the free gift. In the event of an obvious pricing error, we may cancel the affected order as described under "Orders and contract".

Pre-orders and availability

Some products may be offered as pre-orders or may have longer delivery times. Where this applies, we will indicate it on the product page, during checkout, or in our communication with you. If a product becomes unavailable after your order, we will contact you with the option to wait, choose an alternative product, or receive a refund.

Product information

We make reasonable efforts to display product colours and details accurately, but colours may vary depending on your screen settings, lighting and production batches. Minor differences in texture, shade or finish may occur due to the natural characteristics of the materials we use, including genuine Alcantara®.

Intellectual property

All content on this site, including text, images, designs, the ALCANSIDE brand and our logos, is owned by or licensed to Alcanside B.V. and is protected by intellectual property law. Alcantara® is a registered trademark used under licence.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute or otherwise use any of this content without our prior written permission.

Acceptable use

You agree to use our site lawfully and not to misuse it. In particular, you may not engage in fraud, attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, scrape or harvest data by automated means, or use the site for any infringing or unlawful activity.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we limit our liability for losses arising from your use of the site or our products. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses that were not reasonably foreseeable.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

Damage to devices: our products are designed to help protect your device, but no case or accessory can guarantee complete protection against drops, scratches or damage. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for damage to devices or other property resulting from use of our products, except where caused by our negligence or where liability cannot legally be excluded.

Your statutory rights: Nothing in these terms affects your mandatory rights as a consumer under applicable law. These rights remain fully unaffected.

Force majeure

We are not liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations that is caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as natural events, strikes, transport disruption, failures of carriers or suppliers, or interruptions to power or communications networks.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of the Netherlands. We always aim to resolve any complaint directly with you. If you are a consumer in the European Union, you may also contact the competent consumer authority or consumer dispute resolution body in your country of residence, where applicable. EU consumers keep the mandatory protections of the law of their country of residence.

US customers

If you are a customer in the United States, applicable consumer protections may vary from state to state, and any dispute will be handled in line with the law that applies to you. Customers outside the European Union may have additional rights under their local laws. Nothing in these terms is intended to limit rights that cannot legally be limited.

Business customers

If you purchase as a business customer rather than as a consumer, consumer-specific rights such as the right of withdrawal do not apply. Business and wholesale orders may be subject to separate terms agreed with us in writing. For wholesale enquiries, see our Become a Reseller page or email b2b@alcanside.com.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version that was in effect at the time you placed your order governs that order.
